Mr. Mukul Mathur is a Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company with over 30 years of global leadership experience, including 29 years with IBM, where he held senior executive positions across Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. He brings extensive expertise in IT governance, cybersecurity, digital transformation and technology strategy.
He is the Founder and Partner of ZeroT Plus Technologies LLP, through which he advises Boards and senior management on cybersecurity, technology governance and digital risk management. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and has undertaken executive education programmes from Harvard University, Cornell University, Duke University and MIT xPRO. Mr. Mukul currently serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of SK Finance Limited and Fibe India (EarlySalary Services Private Limited), where he also chairs the IT Strategy Committee.
Mr. Sanjay is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He brings over 22 years of experience spanning Accounts, Corporate Finance, Strategy & Planning, Treasury, Project Evaluation, and Investor Relations. Before joining Aptus, he held leadership roles such as Head – Corporate Planning & Business Strategy at Hinduja Leyland Finance Ltd, Associate Vice President at SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited and was part of the Treasury at Reliance Industries. He has a proven track record in Strategy & Business planning, Investor relations, capital raising, financial management including business assessment, project acquisitions, business valuation and due diligence. Mr. Sanjay has also played quasi-executive roles in investee companies contributing meaningfully to their strategic and financial decision-making.
Mr. Subba Rao N.V. is a Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company with over two decades of experience in safety, risk management, environmental sustainability and strategic business leadership. A Mechanical Engineer by qualification, he has extensive experience in building and scaling businesses, driving organisational growth and implementing strategic initiatives across diverse industries. Mr. Subba Rao played a pivotal role in the growth of Cholamandalam MS Risk Services, a joint venture between the Murugappa Group and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance, where he led initiatives in safety and risk management. Under his leadership, the organisation grew from its inception into one of India’s leading providers of safety and sustainability consulting services and the largest employer of safety and sustainability consultants in the country. He has also contributed to the development and implementation of global best practices in Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHS&S) consulting through his association with the Inogen Alliance. His expertise spans strategic leadership, enterprise risk management, sustainability, operational excellence and business development. Mr. Subba Rao currently serves on the Boards of Murugappa Water Technology & Solutions Private Limited and Aptus Finance India Private Limited.
Mr. Natarajan Ramasubramanian is a Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company with over 35 years of experience in banking, financial regulation and policy. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). During his distinguished career with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Mr. Ramasubramanian gained extensive expertise in regulatory policy, bank licensing, supervision and scrutiny of financial statements. He also contributed to international financial engagements, including representing the RBI in the India–UK and India–Australia Free Trade Agreement negotiations. He has served as an Accounting Advisor with Da Afghanistan Bank and as a faculty member at the RBI’s Zonal Training Centres. Mr. Ramasubramanian currently serves as a Director on the Board of Finqube Capital Private Limited.
Mr. Anand Raghavan is a Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company with over 38 years of experience in the financial sector. A Chartered Accountant by profession, he began his career with Sundaram Finance, where he spent over 20 years in various finance and audit roles, including as Vice President – Corporate Affairs. He subsequently spent over a decade as a Partner at Ernst & Young LLP, advising clients on tax, regulatory and corporate matters across financial services, real estate, auto components and media. His areas of expertise include NBFC regulations, corporate taxation, foreign investment, exchange control regulations and corporate restructuring. He has also served as a Non-official Independent Director of MMTC Limited and has contributed to various industry and regulatory initiatives, including the RBI Committee on the Functioning of Asset Reconstruction Companies. Mr. Anand Raghavan currently serves as an Independent Director on the boards of SK Finance Limited, Shriram Life Insurance Company Limited, TVS Infrastructure Investment Manager Private Limited and The United Nilgiri Tea Estates Company Limited.
Vijayaraghavan Kannan is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Additionally, he holds certification as a Certified Information Systems Auditor granted by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). He joined Aptus in May, 2024. Prior to joining Aptus, he was a partner of S R B R & Associates LLP, Chartered Accountants. Mr. Vijayaraghavan Kannan brings over 15 years of invaluable experience in Audit & Assurance, Tax & regulatory compliances, and advisory services.
Krishna Kishore has more than 17 years of experience in Manufacturing and Financial Sector. He joined Aptus in August 2023. Prior to joining Aptus, he was associated with IIFL Home Finance, ICICI Bank, Adithya Birla Housing Finance and PNB Housing Finance. Krishna Kishore holds an MBA in Finance from Kakatiya University and is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has rich experience in underwriting, portfolio & Risk Management of Mortgage products.
K Srinivasan has over 20 years of experience in Credit , Risk management, Audit, Operations and Product management in Retail finance. He joined Aptus in May, 2023 after various roles in Hinduja Leyland Finance Ltd, Equitas Small Finance Bank Ltd, Cholamandalam Investment And Finance Co Ltd, and Bajaj Auto Finance Ltd. Srinivasan, a Commerce Graduate from University of Calicut with ICWAI (Inter) has been dexterous in reducing risk exposure and maximizing revenue potential in the credit side of the retail finance portfolio. His contribution to the industry is Intuitive Analysis of customer profiles in Credit Risk forecasting.
John Vijayan Rayappa (John) has an experience of 28 years in Financial Services in the areas of Operations, Finance, Customer Servicing, Internal Audit. He joined Aptus in July, 2021. Prior to joining Aptus, he was with Shiksha Financial Services India Pvt Ltd as Associate Vice President. He has also worked with Organisations like Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company,
DBS Cholamandalam Asset Management Ltd and L&T Investment Management Ltd in areas of Operations, Treasury, Risk management, Custody, Customer Servicing, software implementation covering deposits, customer servicing and retail lending operations. John is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from the Institute of Systems Audit and Control Association, USA.
John Vijayan Rayappa (John) has an experience of 25 years in Financial Services in the areas of Operations, Finance, Customer Servicing, Internal Audit. Sankaran Krishnamurthy is a Non- Executive Independent Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Madras. He is a certified associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. He was the former deputy Managing Director of State Bank of India, where he served for more than 38 years. He was also the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SBI Life Insurance Company Limited. He is also on the board of our subsidiary, Aptus Finance India Private Limited.
Kandheri Munuswamy Mohandass is a Non-Executive Independent Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Madras. He is an associate and fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is a partner in KM Mohandass & Co., Chartered Accountants. He has over three decades of experience in the financial services sector. He is also on the board of Archean Chemical Industries Private Limited and our subsidiary, Aptus Finance India Private Limited.
Krishnamurthy Vijayan is a Non- Executive Independent Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from C.M. Dubey Post- Graduate College, Bilaspur and he has cleared the master of arts examination conducted by the Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur. He has previously served as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of IDBI Asset Management Limited, Managing Director of J P Morgan Asset Management India Private Limited and Chief Executive Officer of JM Financial Asset Management Private Limited and has various years of experience in the financial services industry.
Ms. Mona Kachhwaha has over 30 years of experience in banking, financial inclusion and impact investing. She is a Partner at UC Impower and was previously associated with Caspian Impact Investment Adviser, where she managed the India Financial Inclusion Fund. She began her career at Citibank, where she led its foray into inclusive finance. She has served on the boards of several early- and growth-stage companies and brings extensive experience in governance and strategy. She holds a Mathematics (Hons.) degree from Delhi University, an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur, and an executive programme in Private Equity from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. She is also a designated partner at UC Investment Management LLP and serves as a director on the boards of Parinaam Foundation, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank and RMBS Development Company Limited.
V G Kannan VG Kannan is a Non – Executive Independent Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Madurai Kamaraj University and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from University of Madras. He is a career banker with over 38 years of experience in the Banking & Financial Services Space and has held several leadership positions in the Sector. Mr. Kannan has significant experience in Banking & Financial Sector, especially in Credit & Risk Management, Insurance, Capital Markets and Treasury & Fund Management. Mr. Kannan is acknowledged as an authority in Credit, Treasury, Risk and Investment Management in the Banking sector. He handled several leadership positions with State Bank of India (SBI), its subsidiaries & group companies as Managing Director of SBI. He is also on the boards of AU Small Finance Bank Limited, Ageas Federal Life Insurance Company Limited and OCM India Opportunities Arc Management Private Limited.
Shailesh Jayantilal Mehta is a Non – Executive Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in technology (mechanical engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, Master of science degree in operations research from Case Western Reserve University and a Doctorate in philosophy from Case Western Reserve University. He is also trustee emeritus at the California State University and has also been conferred with an honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters by the California State University. He currently serves as a partner at Granite Hill Capital Partners and is currently an operating advisor at WestBridge Capital US Advisors, LLC. He has several years of experience in the financial services industry. He currently serves on the boards of inter alia, Safari Industries (India) Limited, Manappuram Finance Limited, India Shelter Finance Corporation Limited and Vistaar Financial Services Private Limited.
Sumir Chadha is a Non – Executive Nominee Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Princeton University and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. He is the co-founder of WestBridge Capital. He has several years of experience in the investment industry. He was previously also a director of Sequoia Capital India Advisors Private Limited. He currently serves on the Board of India Shelter Financial Corporate Limited, Star Health and Allied Insurance, Mountain Managers Private Limited and Kuhoo Technology Services Private Limited.
Kanarath Payattiyath Balaraj is a Non–Executive Nominee Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor ‘s degree in business management from Brigham Young University, Hawaii where he was a valedictorian and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. Previously, he was the cofounder and Managing Director at WestBridge Capital India Advisors Private Limited and has several years of experience in the investment industry. He is currently a partner at Waimea Bay Advisors LLP.
Suman Bollina is a Non – Executive Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science and a global MBA degree from S.P. Jain Center of Management. He is the executive managing partner of Sri Santhi Corporation. He has over 10 years of experience in development of residential lay outs and design, construction and sale of apartments. He is also on the board of our Subsidiary, Aptus Finance India Private Limited.
Mr. Balaji P is the Managing Director of the Company and has been associated with Aptus since August 2010, when he joined as Chief Financial Officer. He brings extensive experience across the financial services, textiles and telecommunications sectors. Prior to joining Aptus, he held senior positions with Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company Limited, Hutchison Max Telecom Limited, Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company Limited and SKS Microfinance Limited. Over the course of his career, Mr. Balaji has developed extensive expertise in financial management, accounting, financial services and business operations. He has played a key role in the growth and development of Aptus and has been closely involved in its strategic and financial management. Mr. Balaji holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Madras and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Aptus Finance India Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company.
G Subramaniam, (GS ) has rich experience in the areas of operations, accounting, internal audit,
risk management, fraud control, credit management, collections, recovery and legal. He joined
Aptus in March, 2011. Prior to joining Aptus, he was with Cholamandalam as Associate Vice
President. Before Cholamandalam, he has worked in organizations like SRF Limited, Reliance
Industries Ltd. GS has made immense contributions towards many initiatives including
delinquency management system, creating robust process controls, Enterprise risk framework,
fraud control manual etc. He has presented various papers in seminars conducted by ICAI,
Institute of Internal auditors on fraud control and Internal audit. GS is a member of the Institute
of Chartered Accountants of India trained under Fraser and Ross Chennai, Member of Institute
of Internal auditors USA, Member of Certified Information system auditors USA, Member of
Certified fraud examiner USA. He has passed the Senior Management Program from the Indian
Institute of Management Calcutta. He was among the top performers and identified as future
leader and underwent the Business Leadership Program organized by the Murugappa Group in
association with IIMB.
Manoharan has over 30 years of Experience in the Housing Finance Industry. He joined Aptus in June, 2010. Prior to joining Aptus, he was engaged with Can Fin Homes and Dewan Housing in various capacities across sales, channel management and credit. He has experience in the Housing Finance Industry across sales, Channel Management, Distribution management, formulation of credit policies, credit appraisals etc. He also has a thorough exposure to legal and technical framework pertaining to housing finance. He is managing a diverse range of operations entailing Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Training and Budgeting. Manoharan holds a Post Graduate Degree in Physics from Calicut University and also has completed a Financial Management certificate course with ICFAI.
Sarath Chandran has rich experience in the Housing Finance Industry most of which was in collections and technical functions. He is a seasoned collections and technical professional with over two decades of experience. He is credited with many new innovations in the areas of collections and technical. Prior to joining Aptus, he was with Sundaram Home Finance in the technical department. Most of his career is associated with technical functions and operations specifically in the field of property inspection, statutory approvals and valuation. Property valuation including marketability being the pivot for any housing finance company, his expertise significantly facilitates in building a quality home loan portfolio. Sarath is a Graduate in Civil Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University with a Master’s degree in real estate valuation. He has participated in various programs & seminars by the Institution of Valuers.
Sanin is the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of our Company. He joined Aptus in August, 2020. Prior to joining Aptus, he was associated with Madura Micro Finance Limited. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Kerala. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. His professional expertise spans across Secretarial Compliance, Listing Regulations, Corporate Governance, Mergers & Acquisitions and IPO. His role builds on his significant experience in handling all secretarial functions of the Company including liaison with various regulators.
Krishnaswami has more than 25 years of experience in IT Consulting, Project management, Technology solutions, customization & implementation, IT infrastructure and Information security in various MNC companies. He joined Aptus in August, 2016. Prior to joining Aptus, he was associated with CSS Corp, Effigent & Tauraweb Technologies. He provides leadership through policy implementation, strategic thinking and decision making. He has built and lead high-performance teams to manage, implement and streamline complex IT designs. Having wide knowledge in various domains like Hardware, ERP, Resource planning, Social services,Banking and Practice Management systems. Krishnaswami holds M.sc – IT from the Institute of Advance Studies and Education and is certified as Scrum Master. He also holds a diploma in Design Thinking from Stanford University through online learning.
Amit is a Senior Finance Professional with 16+ years of rich experience with diversified industries including Housing Finance, NBFC, Digital Payment Solutions, Automobile, Life Insurance, and Consulting. He is experienced in leading a wide spectrum of Financial Strategies, Financial Planning, Taxation, Treasury, Audits, Controls, M&A, Compliances and Accounts Operations. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Prior to joining Aptus, Amit was associated with Hitachi Payments, Edelweiss Housing Finance, Mahindra & Mahindra, Birla Sun Life Insurance, and Ernst Young.
Sundara Kumar has over 25 years of legal experience in financial services, housing finance / mortgages, in particular. His experience in title deed scrutiny, SARFAESI and arbitration procedures is also good and relevant. He joined Aptus in September, 2013. Prior to joining Aptus, he was associated with Standard Chartered Bank looking after the legal function relating to retail and mortgages portfolio and M/s. King & Partridge, Law firm. Sundara Kumar holds B.com, B.L., from Madras University. Also he had completed the ICWAI (Inter) and ACS (Inter).
Ramesh has more than 15 years of experience in areas of Credit & Risk Management, Fraud Control and operations in retail finance. He joined Aptus in July, 2015. Prior to joining Aptus, he was associated with Cholamandalam Investments and Finance, Barclays, ICICI Bank and GE Capital. He has very good exposure in portfolio analysis, learning and implementation of same in future funding like infant delinquency analysis, lagged delinquency analysis. He has handled a large retail portfolio and was instrumental in the Pilot launch of Credit based Risk Model across Pan India. He had made immense contributions towards many initiatives including optimum utilization of resources, popularly known as lean cell management, Portfolio analysis, managing customer service operations. He was also involved in the launch of the TAB project for processing Credit application of retail finance. Ramesh holds MBA from Madras University.
Azhaladi has more than 15 years of experience in managing retail portfolios including receivables, most of which in Housing Finance. He has rich experience in NPA resolution, more particularly with SARFAESI implementations. Mr. Azhaladi is experienced in handling large collection teams across branches, implementing specific strategies for soft and hard bucket loan accounts and has a a special skill for out of the court settlements. He has piloted the launch of mobile field collections to achieve NIL transaction loss and also eliminate other revenue losses. He has also formulated strategies to reduce collections cost to improve productivity. Prior to joining Aptus, he was associated with organizations including Natrust, Kotak Mahindra, GE Money and HDFC Bank in various capacities. Azhaladi is an MBA graduate from Madurai Kamarajar University and also holds an LLB from Bangalore University.
Naveen joined Aptus in September, 2011. He has over 14 years of varied experience in Financial services and more importantly in the Housing Finance Industry and has been mostly associated with hands on work experience in handling operations at various levels of the company and at present, he is leading the Operations and Customer Care Unit of the company.
He has strong analytical and technical skills combined with procedural experience in supervising the Loan Origination System and Loan Management System, Portfolio analytics, Risk assessment and customer service operations. Naveen is a graduate in engineering and also holds Post graduation degree in Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Anna University.
Srikanth has an overall 30+ years, of qualitative experience in Human Resource. Srikanth is well versed with the entire recruitment cycle, Manpower planning, Induction, Employee Relations and Engagement, Payroll and Taxation, Statutory Compliances, Labour Laws, HR Policies, Retention of Employees, Grievance Handling, Exit, Benchmarking and IRIS. He joined Aptus in August, 2012. Prior to joining Aptus, Srikanth was associated with CSS Corp Pvt Ltd, (Software Development and Testing Division), Viveks Ltd and Sundaram Fasteners Ltd (TVS). He had done automation for Payroll, employee attendance and E-Documentation for employee personal files. He was a process champ for ISO and PCMM certifications. Srikanth holds a Master’s degree (MHRM) in Human Resources from Pondicherry University.
